State Laws & Requirements

By completing this class, you will be able to apply for a permit allowing you to carry in the following states. Please refer to the instructions on how to apply for your Permit to Carry or Conceal and Carry license under each state.

Alabama

Apply to receive an Virginia non-resident Permit to Carry if you want to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Alabama. Virginia

A Virginia Permit to Carry is obtained by filling out this application and applying at your local circuit court. This can be done through the mail, contact your local circuit court for details as the application process can change depending on your district. A link to the application is below:

West Virginia

Getting an Virginia non-resident Permit to Carry Permit allows you to carry a concealed weapon in the state of West Virginia. Wyoming

To apply for your VA non-resident Permit visit:

You can also go to www.vsp.state.va.us and on the left side of the page click the link for "firearms/concealed handguns" and then click on "Nonresident Concealed Handgun Permits" link. 

This will bring you to a page that details the application process. You can begin the application process immediately by downloading their checklist of all the documents that need to be prepared to make your application. 

This webpage will give you everything you need to apply. Here is a breakdown of the process:

-Download and fill out the Nonresident Concealed Handgun Permit Application  and have it notarized
-Get a money order or cashiers check for $100 made payable to the Virginia State  Police
-Have 2 photographs of yourself meeting the requirements spelled out on the  Virginia State Police Nonresident Concealed Handgun permits webpage
-Complete finger print cards as dictated in the application checklist
-Have a photocopy of government issued ID
-Have your certificate of completion from Online Carry Training

IMPORTANT: How to apply for your Virginia non-resident Permit:

You may obtain your Arizona Permit to Carry by contacting the
Arizona DPS Concealed Carry Weapons Unit at 602-256-6280. They will mail you an application kit which consists of instructions, application form, two fingerprint cards and a self-addressed return envelope.Complete front of application.

1. Print Out and include your certificate of completion.
2. Complete the 2 enclosed fingerprint cards as per the instructions.
3. Include a cashier's check or money order in the amount of $60 made
    payable to "Arizona Department of Public Safety".
4. Mail self-addressed envelope. Allow 60 days for processing.
